URLCrop checks where your links point. A link whose destination fails three checks in a row (for example 404 Not Found, 410 Gone, a 5xx server error, a timeout, a DNS or certificate error, or a redirect loop) is marked Unreachable. Visitors are still redirected; the mark is there so you can fix the destination.
Checks run daily for links that had clicks in the last 30 days and weekly for the rest. After a failure we re-check after 1 hour and 3 hours, and a link that is Unreachable is checked hourly until it recovers (three good checks in a row clear the mark).
- Open Links. The Health column shows Unreachable with a red icon, a check mark for healthy links, or a dash for links not checked yet. Use the Health filter to list only the unreachable ones.
- Open a link to see the Destination health card: status, last HTTP status, last check time, consecutive failures and the last 30 checks.
- Fix the destination website, or edit the link's destination to a working URL.
- Click Re-check to test again straight away. Re-checking needs a verified email and an active subscription, and is limited to 10 times an hour per link.
Digest email
When links turn Unreachable, workspace Owners and Admins get one email per check run that lists them by destination host. We do not send an email when a link recovers.
Tips
- Some websites block automated checks (responses such as 401, 403 or 429). We do not treat those as failures.
- Health checks do not count as clicks and are not shown in Insights.
- Links keep redirecting whatever their health.
