An account is required for everything on URLCrop, including the Free plan: there are no guest or anonymous links, QR codes or pages. Accounts are free. Each account has one workspace of its own, and you can also be invited to other people's workspaces.
- Go to
app.urlcrop.com/signup. - Choose how to sign in: email and password, Continue with Google, or magic link (we email you a one-time sign-in link, no password needed).
- Verify your email. With Google or a magic link this happens automatically. With email and password, open the verification email and click Verify email; check spam if it does not arrive within two minutes. Links can only be created from a verified account: until you verify, URLCrop shows a Verify your email screen with Resend and Change email; creation unlocks the moment you verify.
- Tell us your name and what you will use URLCrop for (this only tunes the onboarding checklist).
- You land in your first workspace on the Free plan with 25 new links per month, 3 dynamic QR codes, 1 page and 30-day analytics.
Tips
- You must be 18 or older to hold an account.
- Accounts that are never verified are deleted 30 days after sign-up, together with their links, after a reminder email.
- The dashboard works in current versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari on desktop and mobile; short links and QR codes work on any device.
- Indian accounts may be asked to verify a mobile number by one-time password before buying a plan or creating links to brand-new destinations. This protects the
crop.shdomain against abuse. - Turn on two-factor authentication straight away: Settings → Security. See Two-factor authentication.
Troubleshooting
- "An account with this email already exists": use Forgot password or sign in with the same method you used before (Google or magic link).
- Verification email missing: add no-reply@urlcrop.com to your contacts and click Resend. Corporate mail filters sometimes delay the email by a few minutes.
